BOOT supports many of the educational and interpretive programs of the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. As a result of the financial support provided by BOOT, state park volunteers present tours for students and adults, host museums, work in the historic gardens, and demonstrate historic skills and crafts. In addition, BOOT:
· Operates the BOOT Store in the Robinson-Rose Visitor’s Center
· Supports the Blacksmith Shop
· Provides funds for a period attire (clothing) bank
· Maintains a history research library
· Provides financial assistance for Ladies Day, Historic Fourth of July, Fiestas Patrias, Holiday in the Park, and descendant’s activities
· Publishes the “Poppy Paper”, official monthly newsletter
· Maintains a website (http://boostersofoldtown.com)
